Here is Everything You Need to Know About Your Fitness Path

A preview of three path levels from the fit52 app

Everyone’s health and wellness journeys are unique. With a wide range of variables—your body’s strength and stamina, the demands of your work schedule, the responsibilities of family life—it would be foolish to try and adopt a one-size-fits-all approach to fitness. The key to maintaining motivation is to choose a workout plan that is tailored to your needs. We created fit52 Paths to give you the tools to take your fitness journey into your own hands.

What is a Path?

Paths are workout programs tailored to your fitness goals, schedule, and fitness level. You can personalize by the number of days you work out per week, as well as intensity level (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced). You can also choose the length of each workout to suit your schedule. If you have an hour of free time, choose a Path with full workouts that deal an entire deck of 52 cards. If you only have 30 minutes to spare, opt for a Path with half-workouts that cover 26 moves.

Which Path is Right For You?

Are you a working mom that can only sneak in gym time when your kids are asleep? A busy professional that travels all week and needs to schedule heavy workouts on the weekends? Choose a Path with the number of weekly workouts that fit your schedule.

If you’re intimidated by the thought of jumping into an Advanced Path, no stress! Every single Path was thoughtfully designed with the help of Carrie Underwood’s longtime personal trainer, Eve Overland, so even a Beginner workout will give you targeted results. Just listen to your body, and adapt your Path as you go.

When should you change Paths?

Wondering if you’re ready to progress to the next level? Here are 3 signs you should look out for:

1. You know all the moves.

Part of the fun and challenge of fit52 is the luck of the draw! Changing your Path can help keep it interesting and teach you a whole new variety of moves.

2. Your progress has plateaued.

If you’re no longer seeing the results you want, don’t give up. Instead, try switching up your Path to target different key muscle groups.

3. The workouts you labeled as Hard or Perfect are now Easy.

We prompt you at the end of each workout to encourage you to self-reflect on your progress. If you don’t feel like you’re being challenged, it’s time to move up a level.

Working out doesn’t need to feel like a chore. Enjoy the experimental process of finding your Path—you might be surprised by which one is the best fit for you!
